CORE DESIRE
We grouped together on a fine Sunday morning. A cross section of ages from 19 to 61, we were at the destination simply because each and everyone of us has a CORE DESIRE.
CORE DESIRE or "heart-set" is simply what your heart is set on Having, Being, Seeing, Feeling, Achieving and Experiencing. Your heart-set is a much more accurate guide and source of success than your mind-set - so follow your heart. So advocates Jack Zufelt in his book.
"In Pursuit of Excellence" written by Michael Jordan, he writes: "I have the desire to be the best person and player I can become, but I approach everything step by step. It's all mental for me. I never write anything down. I just concentrate on the next step. I envision what kind of person and player I can become, and I approach it with that end in mind. I know exactly where I want to go, and I focus on getting there".
When you achieve one Core Desire, you ask 'What's next?' You discover and start pursuing another Core Desire. It is only a matter of time.........You are never too young or too old to begin moving closer to what your heart most desires.
I was delighted by what Jack wrote. I was in a traditional MLM business and was taught how to write a list, goal settings, affirmation, visualization, attend seminars, etc... These were never heartily applied. So when the goals were not achieved, I decided to come out the exit door never to return ............ I went through a major cashectomy.
